EEEP, short for The Hellenic Gaming Commission, has come up with a set of rules and is now ready to show them to the authorities from the gaming industry. Furthermore, they have given them ten days to respond to them with a proper answer.
What Do These Rules Represent?
Before this brand-new list, there was an older version of it that has now been modified. Furthermore, they are now waiting for reaction along with the comment from the gaming industry and other companies and the deadline for these things is January 25.
Table games, sports betting, along with random number generated casino games still controversially omitted are the main topic of these regulations.
Players Always Come First:
As always, the needs of players and their security is their primary concern hence, EEEP made sure that some protection measures are incorporated into this list too.
Moreover, the gamblers will have the opportunity to determine their wagering limits and also if operators notice that some users are showcasing the signs of potential gambling problems, their accounts will be removed.
Furthermore, they will also have the option to either permanently or, for a certain period of time, exclude online gambling.
On the other hand, if licensees find a proper reason to debar consumers from gambling, they can do that without a problem. Of course, they will have to obey the rules that were made by the Hellenic Gaming Commission.
More Rules To Come:
Besides all those that we already listed, EEEP have also gave some concerning marketing and online gambling.
For instance, if they by any chance run into some controversial ads or graphics that are rude and offensive, they will have to do anything that’s in their power to get rid of them. They mustn’t in any way disturb or dazzle the gaming section.
All of them must meet the criteria that was set by the operator and they must keep in mind that players who have been previously removed mustn’t see these adverts.
Disobedience Not Allowed:
Now, speaking of marketing, before utilizing any pictures of sports players, they first must ask for permission from EEEP before they publish or use them. Furthermore, if they don’t do it, they will face certain consequences and could potentially lose their license.
It is widely known that bonus games are one of the main reasons why people decide to gamble, due to the fact that they can be very rewarding. Still, they first must let the players know how much they can get and the features that each game contains.
Moreover, each player must get detailed information regarding what it takes to receive a bonus or if there are additional rounds in it.
Each operator that wants to apply for the license must first put up a certain guarantee (that’s around 500,000 euros) and must also possess a license in any other European Union country.
Corporations that are already blacklisted will not be able to get a new license.
