It seems like this month is going to be very exciting when it comes to the gambling industry. The Swedish market is about to welcome three operators.
Which Ones?
According to some reports from iGaming Business, Bell Casino, FT Diva Casino and Premiergaming are about to enter Sweden.
Furthermore, Spelinpektionen, the government regulator for gambling has given licenses to these corporations.
This license is going to enable Premiergaming to offer their betting and online gambling services for several websites, such as, Prontocasino.com, Prontocasino.se, Premierlivecasino.com, Premierlivecasino.se, Prontobingo.com, Prontobingo.se, Prontoodds.com and Prontoodds.se.
Now:
When it comes to the other two, FT Diva Casino’s license will be intended for land-based commercial casino games, while Bell Casino is going to offer their services to ship based gaming services.
As we stated in the beginning, this year will be more than thrilling for this industry as far as licensing is concerned.
Namely, regulated gambling market was officially activated on January this year and Spelinpektionen has given a license to a total of 69 casinos in the country.
Negative Comments Surrounding The Industry:
Even though the Swedish regulated market is always eager to bestow the operators with this type of authorization, this country is currently experiencing some issues concerning the gambling industry.
Furthermore, it seems like a certain amount of negativity is hitting it hard. The majority of corporations are not very fond of this form of regulation, with only twenty-five percent showing a favorable view of it.
On the other hand, 77% of them are not exactly familiar with this scheme, which may potentially cause a problem due to the fact that new operators are continuously joining the market. That means they will have to learn quickly if they want to fit in.
Respecting The Rules:
Being part of a particular market is a beneficial thing, but that requires for certain rules be obeyed.
Just last month, Spelinpektionen released public warnings to all licensed firms to make sure that they follow and respect these regulations and learn more about the consequences in case they don’t.
Moreover, if by any chance they decide to go against them, they could potentially lose the license and face punishments.
This announcement was indispensable because some operators obviously weren’t removing consumers who had registered for the self-exclusion register.
Many then accused the regulator of permitting gambling addiction to go unsupervised. In less than two weeks into this regime, around 10, 000 people from this country have decided to exclude themselves from gambling by using precisely this register.
Moreover, these three casinos are the first ones to join the Swedish market since these warnings were published.
