LeoVegas Manipulates Man Into Spending Enormous Amount Of Money On Gambling

In the last couple of months, we have encountered various headlines concerning illegal actions in the gambling industry. Sometimes users were the ones to blame, however, occasionally, the other side (the one that provides services) is the main culprit.

Whodunnit?

Fortunately, whenever a misdeed occurs, the gambling industry hires some of the biggest institutions in this field to investigate the case and come to a reasonable conclusion. Today, the Gambling Commission is in charge of this situation.

According to some sources, one of the most popular Swedish mobile gaming corporations and suppliers of online casino, LeoVegas has been accused of continuously sending emails to a gambler dealing with addiction, who has opted in for self-exclusion.

The operator was apparently so persistent that the player ultimately gave in and spent £20,000 one of their sister websites.

Now:

Allegedly, he took money from his mother and used everything precisely on this site because he felt like the casino was encouraging him to continue wagering.

Furthermore, he claims that he received several emails from them, approximately four times every day. These emails were very tempting for him, because they came with different alluring offers, bonuses and casino spins as well.

Not The First Misdemeanor:

Ultimately, this troubled person then wasted £20,000 before 21.co.uk (a website that belongs to LeoVegas) decided to ask for ID verification and finally they denied access to their website. What is interesting in this entire situation is the fact that his account was blocked only a few days after the popular casino was charged with £600,000 for accepting bets from gambling addicts.

The Gambling Commission has been very busy these days with finding evidence that is in correlation with this case and they are also trying to figure out whether this operator has breached the conditions of its license to work in the United Kingdom.

UKGC representative spoke about the situation:

“We are absolutely clear with operators about the rules that they must follow to prevent and protect their customers from experiencing harm from gambling. Where we see evidence that those rules are not being followed, we will investigate.”

For the time being, no one knows for sure the outcome as far as this case is concerned. We hope that in the nearest future, we will be able to gather more information about it.
