According to a 2020 report by Austria-headquartered game aggregator, SoftSwiss, the traffic of a cryptocurrency game tripled in 2020. The report says bitcoin is the most used currency and was used for over 90% of traffic. In the meantime, litecoin and ethereum were generating 10% of the traffic, coming in second and third place of most used cryptocurrencies. The online casino providershowed in their statistic that the use of cryptocurrencies has grown all over the world, especially in Russia, Canada and Latin America.
According to the report, the increased popularity of cryptocurrencies means that these payments are generating increased interest in crypto gambling, in a market previously dominated by paper money. Over 3,000 titles on the Austrian provider’s gaming aggregation platform have this modern option of betting with cryptocurrencies, and the operator confirmed that this feature can be inserted into any gaming software platform through API integration.
